We will observe how was developed the merchant ship with a radar system. Radar technology has a long developing history, it was developed in the process of the Second World War in 1942. However, all American and British trading ships needed to be equipped with the radar system to enhance the security of navigation as well as to reinforce the disclosure of enemy ships.

Fixing radar system took entirely some time to become commonplace on merchant ships of other ships. Because radar was expensive in that period and more or less it was complicated for operating officers to follow and use it.
