Hyundai company has started its success story as a construction firm in 1947. It was founded in South Korea by Chung Ju-Yung. In the course of time, besides construction, Hyundai has commenced new business lines such as logistic, automobile, electronic and shipbuilding. It is important to mention about the success of Hyundai company in the field of automotive. As well-known that Hyundai Motor Company is in the leading position as auto manufacturer in the world and as you know, Hyundai car models have been in demand to a large extent in Turkey, also. In addition to that Chung Ju-Yung decided to enter maritime industry by shipbuilding even though Hyundai has no experience and knowledge in this field, and he founded the world’s largest shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea. It should be admitted that what he did is a great accomplishment in many respects.

Its Product Range

It is not possible to present all products of Hyundai Heavy Industries since its product range is quite various. On the other hand, if we should give example, its some main products are:

The vision of Hyundai company is to be “Global Leader” in the heavy industry sector and it might be argued that they reached their dream. No doubt, they found the possibility to reach the success thanks to their business approach, broad-visioned managers, endless efforts, management philosophy and desire to realize their dreams. Though, Hyundai defines the key of its success as “Hyundai Spirit” (Creative Wisdom, Positive Thinking and Unwavering Drive) created by its founder. Accordingly, Hyundai could have become the largest shipyard in the world by adhering strictly this spirit. There are certainly so many significant points in this subject to be mentioned; but it is not possible to do that in this short writing.
